Housing is primarily found through the regional rental market; regular students should not assume that Zuyd supplies a room. The institution describes each branch as roughly 15 minutes from the Belgian and German borders, giving the university a distinctly cross-border setting. Applicants must check the location of their exact programme: commuting assumptions based only on the database city of Heerlen may be misleading. Heerlen’s Nieuw Eyckholt site hosts programmes in fields including technology, health, facility management, and the built environment. It has a bus stop at the entrance and is about a 20-minute walk from Heerlen station. Maastricht contains several specialist locations and hosts many of Zuyd’s international programmes, including offerings in international business, European studies, arts, music, and hospitality. Public-transport access differs by building. Sittard’s Ligne site, used for business, law, and social programmes, is within walking distance of Sittard station. Students choosing housing should compare their programme’s actual building with train and bus connections. Living in one of the neighbouring cities can be practical, but travel time depends on the campus rather than simply the city name attached to the institution.

For 2026–2027, Zuyd’s official schedule sets the statutory fee for most funded full-time programmes at €2,695. Full-time Hospitality Management is an exception at €4,250, reflecting its small-scale and intensive designation. Eligibility for the statutory rate depends on Dutch legal conditions and is not determined by nationality alone. Applicants who do not qualify pay an institutional rate. Institutional fees for funded bachelor’s and master’s programmes in 2026–2027 are grouped by programme at €10,210, €12,280, or €13,940.
