How Admissions Work
For fall 2027 first-year entry, Caltech offers non-binding Restrictive Early Action with a November 1, 2026 deadline and Regular Decision with a January 4, 2027 deadline. Decisions are scheduled for mid-December and mid-March respectively, and admitted students have until May 1, 2027 to reply. Student Life & Environment
Undergraduate life is strongly residential. Caltech guarantees housing and requires undergraduates to live on campus during their first two years; its admissions site says most remain for all four.
