Location & Surroundings

CIU’s official address is in Nicosia, North Cyprus, and the campus sits on the northern side of the divided capital. Nicosia provides access to government, commercial, cultural and health services, but the campus is outside the central urban core. Students should distinguish the Northern Cyprus location from areas administered by the Republic of Cyprus when planning entry, transport, banking, mobile service and recognition of qualifications. The university operates free daily shuttles between campus and more than 25 locations in Nicosia. Its published academic-semester schedule includes routes serving Kyrenia Gate, Gönyeli, hospitals, supermarkets and other residential or civic points. Travel times vary by route and traffic; the timetable should be checked each semester because service patterns can change.
