About Amity

Amity University Uttar Pradesh was established in 2005 in Noida, just outside Delhi, and is the flagship campus of the Amity group, which also runs universities in cities including Lucknow, Jaipur, Gurugram, Gwalior, Mumbai, Kolkata, Ranchi, Patna and Mohali. The Noida campus is the one ranked by QS and THE.

Amity is large and broad. In data submitted for India's NIRF 2025 rankings it reported about 25,600 undergraduates, 7,100 postgraduates and 2,900 PhD students (full- and part-time), with 2,331 faculty members. Its 2026 prospectus lists programmes across engineering and technology, management, law, commerce, sciences, biotechnology, journalism and mass communication, psychology, architecture, design and more, including dual-degree, international and "3 Continent" programmes with study periods abroad.

Admission is based on Class 10 and 12 marks plus a personal interview rather than a single national entrance test, and scholarships are linked to CUET, JEE Main, SAT, ACT or CLAT scores. Fees are high by Indian standards. Amity suits students who want a wide choice of career-oriented programmes, a 5-week study abroad option and a busy private campus close to Delhi.

Why students choose Amity

01

A very wide range of programmes on one campus, from B.Tech specialisations in AI, cybersecurity and robotics to law, journalism, psychology and actuarial science.

02

All students can take a 5-week Study Abroad Program; most B.Tech and BBA programmes include it at no extra tuition fee.

03

Score-based scholarships: for example 100% for a SAT of 1500 or above, and 100% for JEE Main in the 97-100 percentile for B.Tech.

04

Admission via Class 12 marks and a personal interview, so applicants do not depend on a single entrance exam.
