About Universitat Pompeu Fabra

Created by the Parliament of Catalonia in 1990, Universitat Pompeu Fabra is an autonomous public university with its own legal personality. Its first classes, in law and economics and business sciences, began in October 1990 with about 300 students. It now operates as a degree-granting institution across three main Barcelona campuses and remains active for the 2026–2027 academic year.
