Student Life & Environment

Student life varies between the urban Luton campus and the greener Bedford campus. At Luton, the Campus Centre brings together the Students’ Union, careers staff, Student Information Desks and support services. Its social facilities include the Metro bar and event space. BedsSU supports societies, student networks, sports teams, social events, representation and independent welfare advice. Location & Surroundings

The main Luton campus sits in the town centre at University Square. Shops, restaurants, entertainment and public transport are within the surrounding urban area, making it practical for students who prefer a central location. Luton railway station is the closest station, while the university reports direct services to Bedford and several central London stations. London Luton Airport is also nearby. Travel times can vary, so commuters should check current timetables rather than plan around promotional estimates. The Bedford campus has more open green space while remaining close to Bedford town centre. Bedford offers riverside areas, parks, shops, restaurants, cultural venues and sports facilities. Its rail station connects south toward London and Brighton and north toward cities including Leicester, Nottingham and Sheffield. These locations create meaningfully different daily experiences. Luton provides a denser town-centre environment and convenient access toward London, whereas Bedford offers a more conventional campus atmosphere with extensive sports space. Applicants should confirm where their course is taught before choosing housing or estimating travel costs; the two campuses are in separate towns and should not be treated as interchangeable.

Costs & Career Outcomes

For 2026/27, the standard annual full-time undergraduate fee schedule lists £9,790 for Home students and £16,800 for international students, including the standard Foundation Year category. The university notes that the Home amount follows the maximum permitted by government and may be subject to change. A lower-fee foundation route and partner foundation degrees have different prices.
