Location & Surroundings

The database city of Brisbane is useful for identifying TAFE Queensland’s principal higher-education concentration, but the institution is state-wide rather than a single Brisbane campus. Its network extends across Queensland, from major metropolitan areas to regional and remote communities. Students must distinguish the full network from the five locations currently identified for higher-education delivery. Three of those degree sites are in Greater Brisbane. South Bank offers the widest selection and is the location listed for civil engineering, cyber security, dental prosthetics and nursing. Alexandra Hills is associated with nursing, while Eagle Farm hosts applied and engineering technologies. On the Gold Coast, Coomera delivers cyber security and Southport delivers nursing. The 2027 international course list similarly places eligible higher-education courses at South Bank, Coomera and Southport, depending on the subject. This dispersed model offers access to two major south-east Queensland urban areas, but it also makes course-campus matching critical. Housing, commuting time, facilities and local student experience will differ by site. Applicants should use the current course listing as the controlling source because a nearby TAFE Queensland location may not teach their degree.

Costs & Career Outcomes

Costs differ by course, residency and funding status, so a single tuition figure would be misleading. TAFE Queensland publishes separate unit-level higher-education schedules for domestic and international students, including both 2026 and 2027 material. Eligible domestic degree students may use FEE-HELP for full-fee study or HECS-HELP when enrolled in a Commonwealth Supported Place; eligibility and course funding should be checked individually. For international students, the official list updated in July 2026 gives indicative 2027 pricing. It lists annual indicative tuition of AUD 27,600 for the Associate Degree in Civil Engineering, AUD 34,040 for the Bachelor of Dental Prosthetics, AUD 32,000 for the Bachelor of Nursing and AUD 32,000 for each master’s cyber-security course.
