Its Millin House rooms and Mercer Apartments are self-catering arrangements with en-suite bedrooms, shared cooking or living facilities, internet, laundry access, communal spaces and security. RCSI’s main Dublin address is 123 St Stephen’s Green, Dublin 2. The campus sits beside St Stephen’s Green and near the Grafton Street shopping district, placing students in the center of the capital rather than on a self-contained suburban campus. Shops, cafés, cultural venues and public transport are accessible from the surrounding city streets, while the university’s nearby Mercer Court accommodation allows some residents to walk to teaching facilities and the library. This location can suit students who value walkability and direct access to urban life, but it also makes housing planning consequential. RCSI’s university-managed rooms are limited, and students considering the private market should budget separately for rent, utilities, deposits and commuting. The institution’s accommodation guidance notes that Dublin private rentals may involve apartments, house shares, rooms or host accommodation and increasingly may require longer leases. Prospective students should also remember that an urban health sciences education may involve travel beyond the St Stephen’s Green buildings for clinical placements or other course activities. The appropriate commute will depend on the programme and placement allocation, so the central campus address should not be treated as the location of every learning activity.

Costs & Career Outcomes

Costs vary sharply by programme and fee status. The official Medicine page lists non-EU tuition of €61,000 for 2026/27, plus a once-off €135 NUI charge, and warns that tuition is subject to annual increases. Its Irish and EU figures were still displayed as 2025/26 guidance: eligible students under the Free Fees Initiative had tuition covered but remained liable for applicable student contribution, IT, health-screening and NUI charges. Those older figures should not be assumed for 2026/27. For comparison, the official Physiotherapy page lists 2026/27 non-EU tuition of €18,000 after an RCSI scholarship reduction, plus once-off health-screening and NUI charges, for a stated total of €18,515. For the 41-week Mercer Court lease running from September 2026 to June 2027, listed rents range from €9,020 for a shared twin room to €13,612 for a single room, depending on building and room type. Private housing, food, transport and personal expenses require separate budgeting. Career preparation is embedded differently by discipline.
