It now uses Ontario Tech University as its public-facing name, although official legal documents may still identify it as the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. Student life is distributed across the north and downtown Oshawa locations. For 2026–2027, annual domestic undergraduate tuition based on ten courses ranged from about CAD 6,102 for several arts, science, health and education credentials to CAD 11,443 for first-year Engineering and Technology programs. These figures are tuition only and do not represent a complete cost of attendance. Computer Science was listed at CAD 37,831, Commerce at CAD 37,877 and Information Technology at CAD 42,143. Ancillary fees are additional; the university advises undergraduates to expect roughly CAD 2,500 to CAD 3,500 on average, varying by program and status.
