Student Life & Environment

The H-12 campus offers a residential environment, but university accommodation is primarily intended for outstation students and is allocated under published criteria and an application-seniority process. Housing is not automatic. Only students registered in statutory courses at the Islamabad campus are eligible for the NUST hostels described on the central campus-life site, so students assigned to another constituent campus must consult that institution separately. Islamabad hostels include separate residences for male and female students and offer several room configurations. Location & Surroundings

NUST’s principal campus is in Sector H-12, Islamabad, Pakistan’s federal capital. Costs & Career Outcomes

For national undergraduate students in 2026–27, NUST lists a PKR 35,000 non-refundable admission processing fee and a PKR 10,000 refundable security deposit. Tuition is PKR 216,750 per semester for engineering, computing, natural sciences, applied sciences, and HND programs, and PKR 302,950 per semester for architecture, social sciences, and business studies. Both categories also carry PKR 5,000 per semester in miscellaneous sports, library, health-coverage, and IT charges. Selected business programs have an additional annual licensing fee.
