About MRU
Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) is the largest specialised university for social sciences and humanities in Lithuania. It began in 1990 as the Lithuanian Police Academy, became the Lithuanian Law Academy in 1997 and the Lithuanian Law University in 2000, and took its current name in 2004, after the constitutional law professor Mykolas Romeris (1880 to 1945).

It is organised into the Law School, the Public Security Academy in Kaunas, the Faculty of Human and Social Studies, the Faculty of Public Governance and Business, and the Sudovian Academy in Marijampolė, which joined on 1 October 2024.
