Student life is divided between the Le Mans and Laval campuses, so accommodation and daily travel should be planned for the city where the chosen program is taught. Location & Surroundings

The main campus is in Le Mans, in the Sarthe department of western France, while a second campus operates in Laval, in neighbouring Mayenne. Students should not assume that a course, service or residence advertised by the university is available in both places. Le Mans has national rail connections, and the university’s transport page states that the T1 tram links the main railway station directly with campus in about 17 minutes. Tram and bus services cover the wider Le Mans metropolitan area. The campus is also accessible by bicycle and car, with bicycle storage and parking available. Laval is likewise served by national rail. Its station is approximately 20 minutes from campus on foot, and local bus routes connect the station and university area. Students comparing the two locations should consider their program timetable, housing availability and late-evening transport rather than choosing solely on intercity travel times.

Costs & Career Outcomes

The latest complete official fee document located during this review applies to 2025–2026, not 2026–2027. It records national registration charges and course-specific additions, and sets the 2025–2026 student-life contribution, the CVEC, at €105. It also confirms continuation for that year of partial exemptions from differentiated registration fees for affected non-EU international students. These arrangements should not be projected automatically into 2026–2027: applicants need the new annual fee decision, their precise award and their fee-status assessment before budgeting. Costs can vary substantially by study route. Standard initial enrolment in a national degree, distance learning, a university diploma, continuing education and employer-funded training may carry different charges. Housing is separate. The university lists Crous and private options in both cities, but no current universal room-and-board figure was verified.
