Student life is distributed across Karelia’s Wärtsilä and Tikkarinne campuses. For the 2026 admissions cycle, Karelia lists annual tuition of €9,000 for International Business and Industrial Management, €10,000 for Information and Communication Technology, and €10,500 for Sustainability Management. These fees concern students who are required to pay tuition for English-taught degrees, generally citizens from outside the EU, EEA, and Switzerland; individual residence-status exemptions must be checked through Studyinfo and Karelia. Finnish citizens do not pay these tuition fees. Students accepting an offer within seven days and paying within 20 days can receive a 20% early-bird reduction for the first academic year under Karelia’s current policy. Performance-based scholarships apply in later years under criteria labelled effective from 1 January 2025. Bachelor’s awards depend on credit accumulation and Finnish-language progress, while the master’s award depends on academic progress. Students should verify the rules attached to their intake before budgeting, since scholarships are conditional rather than guaranteed. Karelia recommends reserving approximately €900–€1,200 per month for living costs, depending on lifestyle, and notes the Finnish Immigration Service minimum of €800 per month.
