Student Life & Environment

Student support in Amsterdam includes a campus service desk, student counsellors, an International Office, digital library access and the Student Success Centre. The latter functions as a meeting and support point where student buddies can help with planning, general study questions and finding the appropriate university service. Inholland also directs international students to wellbeing resources and Erasmus Student Network activities. The Amsterdam campus promotes an introductory event and links students to study associations, broader student associations and discounted sport through USC. These opportunities are not the same as a residential campus system: students live throughout the city or in independently managed accommodation, and participation in clubs or events is voluntary. Housing requires early planning. For 2026–2027, Inholland offered a limited number of furnished studios beside the Sluisbuurt campus to eligible new first-year international students, including students from Suriname and the Caribbean. The university explicitly states that accommodation is not guaranteed and that the Amsterdam rooms were fully booked when its current housing page was checked. Institution-arranged housing is limited to the first year, after which students must find accommodation independently. Inholland advises students not to travel if they have not secured housing at least one month before study begins.

Location & Surroundings

Inholland’s principal Amsterdam campus is at Pina Bauschplein 4 in the Sluisbuurt, a developing district on Zeeburgereiland. The institution states that this site is accessible by tram 26 and bus 37, as well as by bicycle. Its campus information places central Amsterdam roughly fifteen minutes away, making the location connected to the city without being in the historic center. Inholland also lists specialist Amsterdam teaching sites in the ACTA building on Gustav Mahlerlaan for Oral Health and in the AVAG building on Vlaardingenlaan for Midwifery. Applicants should therefore verify the address attached to their programme rather than assuming that every Amsterdam course meets in Sluisbuurt. Amsterdam offers extensive public transport, cultural venues, restaurants, parks, sport and student organizations, but it also has a difficult housing market. The practical value of the Sluisbuurt location is its public-transport connection and proximity to newly completed student studios. Those studios are limited, however, and the institution recommends beginning an independent housing search well before arrival.

Costs & Career Outcomes

For 2026–2027, Inholland’s English tuition page lists a statutory fee of €2,695 for eligible EU/EEA, Swiss and Surinamese students who satisfy the stated prior-degree conditions. It lists an institutional fee of €10,360 for students who do not qualify for the statutory rate, including most non-EU/EEA applicants. Personal circumstances, study mode, prior Dutch degrees and programme type can change the applicable amount, so students should use Inholland’s tuition assessment guidance rather than budgeting from nationality alone. Tuition does not include accommodation, insurance, immigration costs, transport, books or daily living expenses. Housing can create a substantial upfront obligation. Students selected for an Amsterdam studio for 2026–2027 must be prepared for advance rent, a deposit and specified service or setup charges. Availability is limited, and institution-arranged accommodation lasts no more than the first year. The university consequently advises students to pursue alternatives early and warns against travelling without secured accommodation. Career preparation is embedded through work placements and graduation projects arranged with external organizations. Inholland requires an appropriate professional-level assignment, workplace guidance and a written agreement. This structure provides experience and assessed project work, but it is not a promise of employment or a particular salary. Career direction depends heavily on the chosen programme: Amsterdam’s English-taught options point toward innovation, tourism and data-related roles, while the wider institution covers many additional professional fields.
