Student life is spread across several locations, so daily routines depend heavily on the chosen faculty. Linden is the closest equivalent to a central campus: it contains three faculties, the central library, student services, the AStA student representation and a student-run café. Expo Plaza serves media and design students, Kleefeld houses health and social fields, Ahlem hosts bioprocess engineering, and Bismarckstraße provides additional Faculty II space. The compulsory semester contribution helps fund the student body, Studentenwerk Hannover services and the Germany-wide regional public-transport ticket. The main Linden campus sits near the Maschsee and Ricklinger Kiesteiche recreation areas and contains central services as well as three faculties.
