Student experience varies substantially by study location. In Wiener Neustadt, Campus 1 combines teaching facilities with language courses and nearby student housing, while the centrally situated City Campus places business students close to the main square, shops, restaurants, cultural venues, and the railway station. Location & Surroundings

The principal address is Campus 1 at Johannes-Gutenberg-Straße 3 in Wiener Neustadt, Lower Austria. This campus is outside the historic center but has a bus stop directly at its entrance. The university estimates travel from Wiener Neustadt’s main railway station at about 15 minutes by bus or bicycle. Student residences are approximately five minutes away on foot. The City Campus, at Schlögelgasse 22–26, is more central: the main square is about six minutes away on foot, and the railway station is approximately 15 minutes away on foot or six minutes by bicycle. Wiener Neustadt offers urban services, shopping, restaurants, culture, and sport while remaining close to the Vienna Alps, including the Hohe Wand, Rax, and Schneeberg areas. Students should not assume that every degree is taught in Wiener Neustadt, however. The university also operates study locations in Wieselburg, Tulln, Vienna, and Salzburg. Wieselburg is associated particularly with marketing and sustainable innovation, while the Tulln biotechnology campus sits within the Technopol research environment. Campus choice therefore affects housing, commuting, facilities, and the character of daily student life.

Costs & Career Outcomes

For 2026/27, FHWN lists a standard tuition charge of EUR 363.36 per semester and a compulsory Austrian Students’ Union contribution of EUR 26.20 per semester. A separate rule applies to specified third-country nationals holding a student residence permit who do not fall within an exemption category: tuition is EUR 850 per semester. Their first-semester payment is EUR 1,100, consisting of EUR 850 tuition plus a EUR 250 document-verification deposit; the student-union contribution is additional.
