Student Life & Environment

Student life is organized around a specialist creative-school community rather than a large residential university campus. The student-run Student Office coordinates welcome activities, workshops, creative challenges, themed weeks, after-work events and social gatherings. MyESMOD provides schedules, academic-progress information and official documents, while the ESMOD Alumni platform carries internships, apprenticeships, jobs, competitions and cultural opportunities. ESMOD does not operate halls of residence. It works with housing agencies and private student residences, and eligible students may use CROUS housing and dining services. Applicants should therefore budget and search independently for accommodation in the Paris region rather than expecting a guaranteed campus room. Registered students receive a practical guide containing housing and partner information. The Paris and Pantin campuses share a free, confidential wellbeing service called the Listening Room, with individual mental-health sessions and group sophrology workshops available in French and English. The Paris site also lists a lunch and relaxation area, library, fabric library, photo studio, printing, Wi-Fi and specialist software. A disability adviser can arrange adaptations to teaching and assessment within the applicable certification framework. International students can access partner concierge support for practical matters such as visas and accommodation.

Location & Surroundings

The historic ESMOD Paris campus is at 12 rue Catherine de la Rochefoucauld in Paris’s 9th arrondissement. This central location places students within the city’s fashion, luxury, cultural and creative economy and supports access to exhibitions, professional events and industry activity. The campus itself is an urban academic building, not a self-contained residential estate. Applicants must pay close attention to the distinction between Paris and Pantin. The central Paris site lists Fashion Design bachelor and intensive teaching, whereas Fashion Business and postgraduate Fashion Design and Business courses are delivered at ESMOD Pantin, just outside the city boundary in the northeastern metropolitan area. Course choice may therefore determine a student’s daily destination even when ESMOD describes the broader operation as Paris–Pantin. Because ESMOD provides no on-campus accommodation, students commute from independently arranged housing. Its student-life guidance points applicants toward CROUS services, partner agencies and private residences. Housing cost, journey time and access to the relevant Paris or Pantin campus should all be considered before signing a lease.

Costs & Career Outcomes

For 2026–2027, first-year tuition for the Styliste Designer Mode bachelor at the Paris campus is €12,850 for EU students and €14,850 for non-EU students. A compulsory first-year educational pack costs an additional €1,080, and the application fee is €95. ESMOD states that these tuition figures apply to year one and may be adjusted in later years, so they should not be multiplied across the full program as a guaranteed total. The 2026–2027 intensive Fashion Design route costs €15,655 for EU students and €17,655 for non-EU students, plus its applicable educational pack. Postgraduate fees differ by year and EU status: published fourth-year tuition is €15,375 for EU students and €17,375 for non-EU students, with separate mandatory pack charges. Students should also budget for housing, transport and normal living costs because ESMOD has no residence hall. Eligible students may access CROUS social grants for approved Fashion Design study; eligibility is not universal and Fashion Business support should be confirmed directly. Career preparation is embedded through projects and compulsory internships. ESMOD’s Career department advises on internships and work-study searches and connects students with companies, while the Alumni platform aggregates internship, apprenticeship and job listings. The postgraduate Fashion Business program is the only course that ESMOD identifies as currently eligible for work-study. Outcomes will vary by course and student, so applicants should examine the current program-level placement data rather than assume a school-wide employment result.
