Student Life & Environment

Student life is centered on a comparatively small specialist community in the Rheingau. Much extracurricular activity is organized by students through clubs known as Ressorts. Current examples cover entrepreneurship, politics, music, marketing, real estate, legal practice, social projects, diversity and inclusion. EBS’s principal campus is in Oestrich-Winkel, a smaller town on the Rhine amid the vineyards of the Rheingau in Hesse. This setting offers a quieter, close-knit alternative to a large metropolitan campus, with everyday shops and outdoor and cultural destinations nearby. The university has been based in the town since 1980. Students use several locations within Oestrich-Winkel. Campus Schloss, beside the Rhine, is the historic center; Campus Burg supplies additional teaching and working space; and Campus Rathaus houses the Executive School in the town center. The surrounding area provides a mix of private apartments and student residences rather than one unified residential estate. Rail and other public-transport links make Wiesbaden, Mainz and Frankfurt relevant for excursions, internships and urban amenities. Some students live in Wiesbaden or Mainz, but this introduces a commute that should be checked against class schedules. EBS charges program-specific tuition as a private university. As of 20 August 2026, the Bachelor in Business Studies page displayed total tuition of €54,480 for six semesters, including stated fees. This figure belongs only to that program and should not be generalized to law, master’s, MBA or doctoral study. The page also advertised a €500 early-enrolment reduction for contracts completed by the stated dates. Students should obtain the current study contract and fee schedule for their precise intake and account separately for accommodation, food, transport, insurance and personal expenses.
