About UoC
The University of Cyberjaya was founded in 2005 as Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences, with a focus on medicine and pharmacy. It sits in Cyberjaya, a planned township in Selangor that is part of Malaysia's Multimedia Super Corridor, about 30 minutes from Kuala Lumpur. Its chancellor is Tan Sri Dato' Seri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, former Director-General of the Malaysian Ministry of Health.
The university now offers more than 50 programmes to over 10,000 students, with more than 13,000 alumni and over 300 academics. Its faculties are Medicine, Pharmacy, Health (including a School of Nursing and a School of Traditional and Complementary Medicine), Business and Technology, Creative Arts and Design, Psychology and Social Sciences, and Safety and Health, plus a School of Biomedical Engineering and centres for foundation studies and graduate studies. Degrees run from foundation and diploma level to PhD.
Many bachelor's degrees take students at several intakes a year (March, July and October), while MBBS starts in October and pharmacy in September. UoC suits students who want a health-sciences-focused private university with clearly published fees, a modern campus and easy access to Kuala Lumpur, rather than a large public research university.
Why students choose UoC
A health sciences core: MBBS, pharmacy, nursing, physiotherapy, dietetics and biomedical engineering technology, alongside psychology, business and creative media.
