About UdeS
The Université de Sherbrooke (UdeS) was established in 1954 as a French-language university in Quebec's Eastern Townships. Its main campus is in Sherbrooke, with a Health Campus in the same city and a campus in Longueuil, on the South Shore of Montreal. In 2025-26 it enrolled 33,703 students, 18,017 of them in first-cycle (bachelor's-level) programs, and welcomed 3,095 international students from 105 countries and territories.
It is organised into nine faculties and schools: Management, Law, Education, Engineering, Letters and Human Sciences, Medicine and Health Sciences, Science, Physical Activity Sciences, and Theology and Religious Studies. UdeS is known for its co-operative education system: co-op programs alternate study trimesters with paid internships, which UdeS says average about C$9,000 per 15-week placement, with 3 to 5 internships in bachelor's programs that have them.

UdeS lists these as its current undergraduate deadlines without stating the year, so the exact 2027-entry dates are not confirmed; the next occurrence would be 15 January 2027 (fall 2027). The French deadlines page (1 June, winter) and the English international page (1 September, winter) disagree, and many programs have extended or different deadlines. Allow 3 to 6 months after admission for study permits.
How to apply
Complete the online admission form (available in French; you can apply to two programs at once), upload the required documents including birth certificate and academic results, and pay the C$106 administration fee. After an offer, confirm with a C$300 deposit by 1 May (fall) or 15 December (winter). On arrival, present certified original documents to the Office of the Registrar.

Student life
UdeS students live in Sherbrooke, Longueuil or a partner-campus location, and can use public transit free of charge with their student card.
