About PUT
Poznan University of Technology (Politechnika Poznańska, PUT) traces the beginnings of higher technical education in Poznań to 1919, when the State Higher School of Mechanical Engineering started classes. It became Poznan University of Technology in 1955. According to Wikipedia it has nine faculties, among them Architecture, Control, Robotics and Electrical Engineering, Computing and Telecommunications, and Civil and Transport Engineering.
The English-taught offer is aimed at international students. At bachelor's level it includes Architecture, Artificial Intelligence, Automatic Control and Robotics, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Technology, Engineering Management, Mechanical Engineering, Microelectronics and Digital Communication, Quantum Technologies and Sustainable Building Engineering. The master's list adds Computing, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Green Energy, Logistics, Transport and a programme in Information Technology for Smart and Sustainable Mobility that runs within the EUNICE university alliance.
Fees follow the student's status. Citizens of EU and EFTA-EEA states, UK citizens covered by the withdrawal agreement, permanent residents, refugees and some other groups pay no tuition, in Polish or English. Others pay tuition set per programme, from EUR 1,850 for the first semester of a bachelor's programme plus PLN 6,800 for each later semester. It suits students who want an applied engineering or architecture degree in a large Polish city at moderate cost.
Why students choose PUT
Ten English-taught bachelor's and fifteen English-taught master's programmes, including Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Technologies and Green Energy.
Tuition is free for EU and EEA citizens, permanent residents, refugees, Pole's Card holders and other groups in full-time study, in Polish or English.
The Faculty of Architecture says it holds the EUR-ACE label and sends 80 to 100 students a year on Erasmus+ to 42 partner universities.
Six student dormitories with utilities, internet and laundry included in the price, applied for through eAkademik.
