MIU presents student life as a mix of professional, cultural, service, creative, and athletic participation. The university’s admissions FAQ describes the campus as about 25 minutes from Heliopolis, although actual travel time will depend heavily on traffic and a student’s starting point. The location makes daily transport and housing choices central to the student decision. MIU says its optional bus network serves Cairo, Giza, and Zagazig. It does not cover 6th of October City or Ismailia, and detailed routes are provided to accepted students through the Transportation Office. The university reports three pickup and four drop-off times, but students should confirm the current route, stop, and timetable before enrolling. Students relocating to Cairo must arrange their own accommodation because MIU has neither campus residences nor a housing-placement service. A practical comparison should therefore combine tuition with rent, daily travel time, and either the annual bus charge or private transport costs.

Costs & Career Outcomes

MIU publishes detailed 2026/2027 tuition schedules separately for Egyptians and non-Egyptians. For Egyptian entrants, annual listed tuition before score-based reductions ranges from EGP 110,000 in Applied Linguistics to EGP 341,000 in Oral and Dental Medicine. Other programs fall between those figures, and the applicable amount depends on the faculty and high-school-score category. For non-Egyptians, fees are quoted in US dollars and likewise vary by program and score category. These are academic-year charges, not a single institution-wide price. For Fall 2026, the university lists a non-refundable EGP 1,500 application and placement-test fee. Tuition can be paid in three installments per semester, beginning with 50%, followed by two 25% payments. MIU also publishes GPA-based discounts and selected sibling, alumni-family, school-partnership, merit, and sports provisions, subject to its rules and overall discount cap. Applicants should verify eligibility before budgeting around any reduction. Optional 2026/2027 bus service costs EGP 30,000 for the standard Greater Cairo rate, with a reduced EGP 26,500 rate for specified high-achieving students; the Zagazig route is EGP 35,000. Housing and living expenses are additional because MIU provides no residence or housing assistance. Career preparation varies by faculty and activity.
